Ask HN: What is the current state of entry-level SWE jobs?

Do they currently exist at your company? I very rarely see entry-level announcements, and when I do see something that seems to fit the bill it is in the realm of SharePoint / Salesforce / etc, that doesn't seem like it would add much value in pursuit of something higher.
