Given they sold out fairly quickly at around 200k units[1], yes I think people will use them.

And if you have neck pain, see a doctor. It is not normal to have neck pain.

Perhaps its for younger people that don't have "neck pains"?

Buying something for $4k+ and not using it doesn't seem like a likely outcome. I intend to use mine, anyway.

The thing with these headsets that I think is overlooked is they are gonna have to compete with huge relatively inexpensive high quality TVs. Obviously they are. providing different experiences but let's not discount just how good a big ass TV is at providing its own type of immersive entertainment experience. So at least for recreational uses I think most people would rather spend the money on the biggest best TV they can possibly get and skip the expensive headsets or at least buy cheaper models for limited novelty use.
