The website is giving me an aneurysm to look at, but I did have a laugh sitting through 10 minutes of the Barbie Movie in my terminal.

The direct command from the website is: ssh -o StrictHostKeyChecking=no watch.ascii.theater

This is wild haha, never seen the general public interact with SSH like this.

The resolution is surprisingly good ahah

The stuff the devs at mschf while up continues to impress. Like the sheer effort.
VLC can do this, if I recall correctly. I remember watching a video in a terminal once, some time ago.

What about the sound though?

Can anyone explain how this works? I made this app that converts video to emojis (https://gifmoji.github.io/) and would love to know if I could somehow do a similar thing over ssh (so with emojis rather than ascii art)
This is the first I'm seeing https://mschf.com/ and I'm awe struck. This is art and my favorite thing in a long time.
Non 24bit/256 color? Or is my terminal setup messed up?
