It's great to see such a frank and concise description of this event and so soon after it happened. And very Wandel-esque to see the impressively detailed timeline pieced together from various sources, not least of which is a Raspberry Pi motion detecting time-lapse camera.
A lot of people do the opposite (share as little as possible) when they are the victim of a scam/con but I think sharing the story has a considerable positive impact on society and likely, I hope, the individual. To be clear, I'm not complaining about victims not wanting to tell everyone about it, it's very understandable.
By the way, if you're reluctant to click on a video link because you don't like obnoxious Youtuber cliche videos[0], Matthias Wandel is very much not that.
The earlier video (when it first happened) got posted a couple of times, with a handful of comments on one submission[1].
