Ask HN: Experiences with Datomic?

After watching a few presentations on Datomic, I'm totally sold on immutability in the DB and I really want to use it, but there seems, at least superficially, some difficulty associated with it being so "exotic". It's hard to tell from outside if it's worth it, though I know that in terms of scaling/performance, it fits my use case perfectly.

It is exotic, as is Clojure generally. Most organizations with existing infrastructure are allergic to exotic when it comes to their data, from a culture, rather than technical perspective. Only you can judge the culture cost.

In technical terms, the NuBank presentations on their use of Datomic are some of the most impressive engineering at scale material I have seen.
