Apple doesn't allow you to change macOS cursor anymore (github.com)

This apparently needs to be a Tell HN so there’s some context. The link and the title are not directly correlated that I can tell, and I can’t find any issues in the repository that look relevant.

Maybe because all of these cursors reek of the 80s/90s. Besides size and speed do people really care these days?

On a similar note, I remember someone posted on HN like a year ago a link to these custom cursors you could download and the comments were full of people talking them up… anyone know what I’m talking about?
