Show HN: RDX for Reddit – An Apollo inspired ad-free, open source web reader (rdx.overdevs.com)

26 points by avadhesh18 ↗ HN
When Reddit killed 3rd party apps, I uploaded a web viewer I have been using for myself to access Reddit (without 99 popups) to Github pages for everyone to use. I posted about it on Lemmy and it shot to the front page.

Since then I have made multiple updates to RDX including themes, infinite scrolling, compact mode, bookmarks, import/export subs, faster GIF loading etc.

If you do find this useful please add it to home screen for n app-like experience. Please let me know if you have any feedback, including issues or feature requests.

You appear to be missing any licensing information in your "open source" repo

Yup, that's me, but I don't see what that has to do with a CORS failure, which surely would happen with any sane browser

Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://www.reddit.com/r/all/.json?limit=20. (Reason: CORS request did not succeed). Status code: (null).
No offense, but how is it Apollo inspired? It looks, and interacts nothing like it...
Inspired as in also a free Reddit client.
If you're a Firefox user and it's not loading, click on the sheild icon in your url bar, then turn off Enhanced Tracking Protection for this website.
