This is well documented. Just search on "Ukraine War Lab". Eric
Schmidt, Alex Karp, Peter Thiel and many more are all on record
talking about the immense "opportunity" of the Ukraine conflict. They
mix clearing mines and curing cancer with drone assassinations and
totalitarian technological control, all in the same breath.
This is a morality free zone, beyond good and evil. The problem of
this "Hogs Heaven" as Bill Hicks put it, is the perverse incentive for
Google, Palantir and a dozen other companies not just to prolong the
conflict (as a meat-grinder to keep their laboratory) but to play both
sides.
Exactly. They play by different rules. There's nothing wrong with that per se.
The issue is, most of the rest of us. We refuse to admit what's right in front of us. We naively believe they're like us. We live in denial scratching our heads about the rules they do / don't play by. Simply put, we don't truly understand The Game. The fact that I'll likely be down voted only proves my point.

You should be upvoted. But I neither upvote nor downvote anyone ever,
because that's playing "the game". In fact, I can't. Isn't even
talking about upvoting and downvoting forbidden? That's an aspect of
what I call "systemic inscrutability" [0]
> Again: hate the game, not the players.
All players have a choice. The players make the game. So it's
perfectly possible to hate both. But I find it's a much better energy
to love. Love the victims of the game - that's a much surer way to get
some downvotes :).
I don't know what Musk is thinking or doing but why is there an expectation that a commercial company based on another continent should take side, and what's more should support one specific side?

What part of this isn't understood?
Hate the game, not the players.
