Where there's a screen, there's a way.
That sentence feels like it's missing an "... um" (or two)
Do they actively block porn, or the browser just doesn't support rendering VR content yet?
All I'm thinking of is the Vision pro tracks where your hands are going.
It is not actively blocked. The title is click bait. Just requires enabling some settings in Safari.
Terrible journalism. The sole source is a reddit post, which also points out this is just a default setting that can be overridden easily:

    Go to "Settings".
Click the "Apps" icon and then the "Safari" icon.
    Scroll down and find "Advanced."
In the Advanced tab, scroll down to the bottom and click on "Feature Flags."

There are four settings you need to enable:
    WebXR Device API
    WebXR Hand Input Module
    WebXR Augmented Reality Module
    WebXR Gamepads Module
Wait so it's not even a moral stance on a default setting? It's just some technical feature flags?

Yeah that is next level awful reporting.

To save you a click: webXR is not enabled yet in VisionOS Safari
Title of post should be: "Apple Vision Pro does not enable WebXR by default in Safari"
Apple should learn from history: porn helped drive the adoption of VHS as a standard over Betamax.
This is an urban legend
This is false. VHS had the advantage of larger cartridges, which allows longer recording time, which is especially important for time shifting TV shows (and not at all important for porn). Also, JVC licensed VHS to other recorder manufactures, which lowered prices and increased the number of available models.

Also, why would porn not be available on Betamax? You never needed a license from the format owner to prerecord tapes.
