It feels a bit wrong to me that CERN needs to basically beg for this kind of investment while we see Elon Musk burn billions of dollars on his twitter acquisition (now known as X).
The mere rebranding probably costed the business billions of dollars.
I guess it just shows where our priorities lie as societies.
