I found this, as the first Google result, while looking for the text of a Byron poem. I noticed the asterisks in the text. Byron might have some dubious impulses, but somehow, in this line: "And Truth, indignant, all his *** swell", I still felt that the use of that bad word wasn't one of them. Other sources seem to shed some light on what that offensive word was - apparently offensive enough for asterisks. The word is "bosom". Truly scandalous; as funny. Truly sad; as for real.
