Dust and cosmic rays from the surface of a binary comet (WP, GIF) (en.wikipedia.org) 2 points by araes 2y ago ↗ HN
[–] araes 2y ago ↗ Was reading about New Horizons, going past Arrokoth [1], contact binary planetesimals [2], and stumbled onto neat video of a lander on the surface of a binary comet. The actual comet is 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko [3] out by Jupiter.[1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/486958_Arrokoth[2] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contact_binary_(small_Solar_Sy...[3] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/67P/Churyumov%E2%80%93Gerasime...
