nice!

It's so cool seeing this on the HN homepage! Hey folks, I'm the solo creator of Polypane, the web browser for developers.

This latest release has a new feature called Portal, that lets you share your localhost with any device (local network or through a randomly generated public URL).

That's cool but what's new compared to other similar tools is that anything you do in Polypane, like scrolling, clicking and typing, but also our layout debugging and any editing you do in the Polypane devtools also happens in all of the connected browsers, so you can quickly test fixes across rendering engines, or share your localhost with a team mate and suggest changes on the fly.

Hope you all check it out :)

Hi Killan, thanks for making this software. I remember in the past I use to sub, but found it too expensive. However with this ever increasing feature list and how those features will solve several pain points I face daily, I’ll be resubbing today. Portal looks great and that’s the final feature that has won me over.
That’s great, thanks. I work hard to provide features for any issue people bump into. Glad this one convinced you to try it again!
Already tried this and it works so well. Really great being able to send my dev server to my phone through Polypane like this. Makes a super useful tool even more useful.
Love it. Polypane gets better and better! Great job, Kilian!
If you just want to make localhost available on your phone, tablet, etc, apparently Tailscale will do that?

Looks like there are a lot of other features in this software, though.
