I don't normally have a fear of heights, but suddenly being confronted with that hero image staring straight down from a considerable height at several highrise buildings gave me a very uneasy feeling of vertigo...
Yeah. It seems to me that the main purpose was to show the car queues meeting at the intersection however the vertigo effect is enough distraction not to notice it.
Is the test setup for this available anywhere? I’d love to compare performance against our existing load shedder.
The second-last chart (titled Success Latency in fig7) is a wonderful bit of data viz. What’s that kind of chart called?

This was a great article overall, though. Well written in addition to the visual aids.

Pretty sure that's a Grafana Heat Map panel with an explanation added to it. Especially with the graph above it.
Also, the top left graph in fig8 is a snake, so bonus points for that.
