Ask HN: Python and Robotics for Kids

I'm teaching my child to develop software with Python, And I would like for him to work on robotics projects.

I saw the Ryze Tech Tello from DJI that looks cool and lego's mindstorm.

Are there any other recommendations or dis-recommendations on the above?
