Fluidity is a big thing a lot of people don’t really pay attention to with these layoffs. As someone trying to move into tech, I know that I’m competing with thousands of recently laid off people who are likely better candidates on paper. For anyone entering the field, it’s an issue and for anyone looking to move companies within the industry, it will drive down wages and make it generally harder to shift.
