I'm very surprised to learn that 7,300 years ago counts as "recorded history".
For many scientists, "recorded history" means the span of time for which evidence of events occurring exists.

Events dated via ice core analyses, the fossil record, dendrochronological study, and many other methods all make up "recorded history".
