Damn...it used to be $1 million seemed like a lot of money; it goes to show how wealthy Americans are and have become over the past decade, thanks to fat white collar salaries in tech and other professions, huge returns from stocks and real estate (helped by low interest rates and cheap mortgages) since 2009, big inheritances, equity, start-ups, etc. Despite doom and gloom by media about how many Americans do not enough money for emergency, evidently plenty do.
