I’ve marked on the calendar the days in which there will be a solar eclipse in my region.

I’ve stumbled upon one in the Mozambique strait region back in Sept 2016.

Places to stay along the path of totality are mostly sold out already. I've also seen a few cases of AirBNB and VRBO hosts canceling reservations, leaving travelers scrambling to find accommodations. At this point I would recommend finding a place several hours outside the path of totality and driving to a good spot on the day of. Allowing extra time for traffic!
