No doubt this refers to an unspoken implicit bias. Let’s dispel all confusion and make this an explicit rule. Obese people have higher health premiums and greater health risks, so they cost more. In the US obesity is not a protected class, so discriminate away.
Same with larger people, just inverse. The larger you are, the bigger the chance to become CEO.

Though I think, again, this article confuse correlation with causality.

Playing devils advocate, perhaps obese people have less self esteem and negotiate smaller sallaries?

I'm not saying this is the case, and I think causality is probable, though the article confuses both.
