Cyberattack Paralyzes the Largest U.S. Health Care Payment System (nytimes.com)

I’m a volunteer EMT and last weekend the four patients I dropped off all had to sign paper copies of documents for insurance purposes instead of the using the usual rolling PC.

I found it unusual because the hospital had gone paperless years ago but was too busy to ask about it.

Maybe this is why?
