What is this social network "Twitter"?

I've only heard of X The Everything App by Elon Musk, which I exclusively use for everything.

It's that social media platform where a direct link to a reply doesn't let you read the OP without a login.

Edit: to address the Elon Musk tweet, seems like they are just leaving their users with most easily-faked metric, "views".

I'm looking forward to the change where they show what % of views are bots. Full self-engaging posts, coming next year.

Given that they have, as far as I can tell, never defined what 'views' mean (is it a view if I scroll past a quote retweet of the tweet so fast I could never have seen it? Who can say!) faking them hardly seems necessary, as they are in any case totally meaningless.
