Think you are running a SaaS and something happens to you. What will happen to the business? Someone has to know what you have to do to run the server, to manage the database.
It's like having a backup with you forever so that your family can get your journals, "how to run my business" stuff ready.

To get inspiration for the business model. I don’t deny the problem you try solving exists just that I wouldn’t trust anyone.
Like Once. I can add a one time payment model, but installing it on a computer won't work. Because if the data is just stored on a computer: 1) it's not safe. 2) it's not reliable, the computer could stop working.
For one time payment, I agree I will need to implement that.

You could make it self hosted and help your customers find reliable hosting providers that have long term plans that will continue provide service after customer dies
