I seriously need a cheap or free app ( FOSS preferred) that can perform image recognition and categorization better than the bad joke of image search on Apple. I use the iOS image search for entertainment, it's so janky. And I don't use the Mac's photos app because I want my photos in files, not stored in thousands of nested folders organized by date.
How hard is this to do?
And no Google, or other online predator, to "own" my photos, use them as training data, and lose them when it famously cancels an account for no reason.
Suggestions?
I say free or cheap because apps die from neglect or faltering income. Or they suddenly become rent-seeking subscriptions. FOSS preferred for those reasons.
