Boeing 737NG, over 25 years old, yet another United maintenance failure.
A better headline would point out the United part and skip the Boeing part, this has zero to do with Boeing. The 737NG is arguably the safest airliner ever built, but you do need to keep up on maintenance just like any other airliner.
Not an emergency landing, and as rootusrootus said (beat me by a couple minutes), it's an older (25 years) plane. This is unrelated to the current bout of issues in Boeing manufacturing.
