So it looks like multiple players from different teams fell victim to a Remote Call Execution hack installing illegal in-game hacks/cheats on their computers mid-tournament which would gives those players a competitive advantage.
When players have in-game hacks/cheats on their computers, they are kicked out of the game and banned from playing again to preserve the fun of the other players who are playing without hacks/cheats and preserve the integrity of the competition.
But it looks like someone was hacking people to install in-game hacks/cheats on other player's machines to get them banned during the e-sports tournament.
This is a big deal, because those events often have large amounts of prize money, not to mention the bets/wagers placed on the results of games by the gambling community. Not to mention that players who are caught using hacks/cheats are often banned from playing those games for years, if not life.
