I have mixed feelings about this technology. On the one hand Neuralink will be groundbreaking for those with disabilities and will enable entirely new classes of human-computer interaction. In theory this could eventually enable a nearly perfect virtual reality experience without having to wear a headset or haptic clothing.
However there are some pretty scary implications for abuse by governments and criminals, as well as all the unforeseen societal and health consequences of manipulating our brains in this manner.
