Halo CME Detected – Associated with X1 Flare on 23 March UTC-Day (swpc.noaa.gov)

For reference a Carrington[1] class is X40ish, 40 times more powerful than this X1.1

Estimated effects may include radio blackouts etc, but no major damage would be expected.

I don't know why, but when I first read the title, I thought it was talking about a CVE in Halo: Combat Evolved. Made for an amusing error in reading.
