It’s a map specifically for real estate investing that aims to quantify how wealthy, developed and/or gentrified each neighborhood is. An “A” neighborhood is not necessarily best for investing as the properties there are likely very expensive, but it does mean it’s a very wealthy and desirable neighborhood with low crime rates. Best for investing is likely B/C areas.
We used a huge amount of data to build the map including census data (median income, vacancy rates, employment stats, population growth etc.), also combined with MLS data (average rents, appreciation, days on market, price changes etc.)
