What exactly is your solution?
The first step to fixing any problem is acknowledging there is a problem. I'm not sure what the solution is. There may not be one. But acknowledging that people were willing to kamikaze massive fortunes and their careers in order to try to stop this guy should be a big red flag for everyone. And it's not just the idealists, he scares the sharks as well.
I do acknowledge he is a problem. He doesn't come across as a honest dude at at all. I get Lex Luthor vibes from him.

But I am not sure there is anything I can do.

it also doesn't have to be related to creepy human data mining like worldcoin, or AGI

could be something as simple as a behavior with an employee, a comment even outside of work, or the store. This is San Francisco we're talking about, its very common there to try to do something progressive and then realize that reality does not support that attempt.

but it could also be the gpt store, preserving some semblance of the non profit mission

just doesn't have to be as deep or novel as you think

Musk, Zuck, Thiel, Andreessen… it’s sure full of strange people out there.
There was an article quoting someone close saying he wants to be President and world first trillionaire.

Control of AGI could certainly give you that.
