Is Tech News just Web3 and crypto now?

I’ve subscribed to HackerNoon and tried to post some blogs there since it’s a site with a lot of traffic, but all of the highlighted posts seems to focus on crypto and web3 (and AI, of course). Do you think this is a bigger trend in tech news or just HackerNoon? Is it just the state of our economy now? I want something new to talk about. How about some more high temp superconductors?

Tech is moving deeper and deeper into each field, stop looking for "tech news" and start looking at Materials Science news - there you will find amazing discoveries in superconductor research, new materials, small molecule chemistry, all of which are being driven by advances in tech.

If you're into astronomy go there, biology go there, geophysics go there, every field has many advances caused by tech, if you are complaining about lack of depth, then you need to go narrow.

Web3 and crypto? Is anybody still talking about that stuff? That's pretty 2023. I feel like discussion of those topics is pretty dead, at least in the places I lurk.
They are not dead. They just refocused to the next trend: AI. Just past the vanity its still the same people doing the same things with the same investment money.
I don't know what HackerNoon is but I think the crypto bubble is over at this point. That could just be leftover marketing spam? Nobody cares about it anymore.
I don't know anyone talking about web3 and crypto. It is as good as dead.
Don't waste your time on sites like HackerNoon, trust me.
I believe the fall of FTX has eliminated most of the buzz around around Crypto and Web3. The hype cycle is full force exclusively on AI right now and the discussion over tech layoffs.
