Exclusionary zoning for density is just a bad idea in general. I can understand zoning for stuff like noise and pollution. But separating commercial, office, and residential zoning as well as separating dense and less dense is the biggest contributor to housing shortages.
California took a huge step in the right direction with SB-9. However, they need to go way further if they want to fight back against the housing shortage.
