Ask HN: Alternatives to HubSpot (in case they get acquired by BigCo)?
Hubspot builds for startups and small businesses and their product feels like its built by people who are passionate about their craft.
This company is 95% owned by instutional investors right now, so its doubtful the founders would like to sell.
We are looking at alternatives in case they get gobbled up by a larger corporation.

[ 3.1 ms ] story [ 28.8 ms ] threadI have never once thought that about Hubspot. I daily think the opposite.
To be fair, I don't do a lot with the GUI, I mainly interface with the API.
I daily think the API documentation is built by one team, the API implementation is built by another team, and a third team uses/tests the API. And NONE of them have ever talked to each other. Or maybe one of those teams is missing altogether? That's the only way to explain how their API got to be what it is.
We're a small sales team of two and the more we use the product, the more we need features in their next tier of subscription level, only issue is they only do a 5 user minium at the next tier and I cannot justify paying for three unused user licences.
Though, have been back to testing salesforce in parallel with copilot for sales and it’s looking promising..
