Such an enormous waste of taxpayers' funds should trigger a well-deserved outrage among Americans, but I guess Americans have seen it all and just don't care anymore.

Maybe I am naive but whatever it takes to bring critical manufacturing back to the United States is a good thing.

What’s noteworthy about this announcement is that Samsung will also be opening up an R&D fab as well in their Texas site. This is in contrast to the TSMC Arizona fab, which is going to be manufacturing only.
