Ask HN: Reliable self hosted email to send email updates?

We're a small startup looking to send daily email updates to our users. A bit like how Bandcamp and Substack do for daily notifications.

I know we could use a hosted service like Mailchimp and I understand the deliverability aspects.

With that said: is there a reliable, self hosted email solution to send out such emails? Anything convenient?

Don’t use something like Mailchimp but use something like Mailgun, or Amazon SES or SendGrid instead.

Follow the requirements carefully so your emails don’t wind up in the spam for everyone.
