This just in:

Improperly handled input is, and continues to be far and away the most prominent and exploited security issue (outside of phishing).

I am actually a bit afraid on rust for situations like this. Similar to how bicyclists get substantially more “brave” when they wear a helmet, I wonder if rusts claim to safety will cause a substantial increase in badly handled inputs by rust devs. Time will tell.

This is why the anti-rust brigade has grown so much. This community is utterly incapable of introspection of any kind.
