Jun and his colleagues at Duke had a great idea a long time ago — help journalists with the computational tools to investigate topics quickly and collect enough data to confidently support hypotheses. The idea was early but now we have plenty of public data online and LLMs to help parse through the data. Is the time ripe to create open source tools for journalism?
