For the 2nd time, I can't use YouTube on Firefox because of a "bug" (imgur.com)

The first time it happened it was many months ago, so it's surprising they haven't fixed it yet. Ad blockers are disabled while recording the gif.

YouTube site is unusable — maybe better in Chromium browsers? My solution is downloading the videos I want to watch or streaming them via VLC/IINA. Another idea is using an Invidious instance.

About a month or so ago I started noticing degraded performance on youtube when using Firefox (even with all browser addons disabled) so my current approach, just for youtube, is to use Chrome with the Clear Skies ad skipper extension, which gets me good performance and no ads.
