Call me a casual but I could never finish part 1 legitimately. Grinding the fights was too much of a hassle, one was always strapped for cash, the hunger/food spoilage/save systems were annoying and my time is (unfortunately) limited these days. Medieval life sim, I know I know.
The game actually becomes pretty easy after a while (4-6 hours maybe). Some perks are pretty powerful, and knowledge of the game world brings dividents
