Except for empathy and compassion. AI has no emotions. We still need humans to take care of other humans.
Why do you say so? Give ethical scenarios to humans vs gpt and I'm sure gpt will do better than many humans.

Humans are brought up with hatred, gpt is trained to not be hateful.

And don't say that "code doesn't have emotions". You can only say that you have qualia and empathy for your own individual self, rest of us might be p zombies for all you know.

So because a few tech enthusiasts never got over solipsism, we all have to pretend that every simulacra of human behavior has a rich inner life?
No, I'm saying it is not necessary to observe an output about ethics or empathy. Large language models work from the large corpuses of human language, which encodes these concepts in itself
I don't know. Isn't it possible that people who lack empathy such as sociopaths or psychopaths can take care of people because they have learned what the social expectations are without actually feeling the emotion?
Do you have a mechanistic model for empathy or compassion?
Many people who don’t know that it’s an ai or don’t understand what that means are fooled though. People fall in love with AIs and their avatars. What’s the difference?
Apart from intelligence
Mimics it better than many people I see around. Getting on a plane with the ticket in hand; seat 34b and then literally looking at every single number left and right starting row 1 to see if it matches. Sorry but chatgpt is smarter than that. Yet 10000s of people do this every day.

One of very many examples of course where humans exhibit no intelligence at all.

Could AI outperform humans in finding benchmarks in which humans outperform AI?
GPT told me it was “on this journey of life and would be with me by my side at all times. I would be remembered by the love I’ve left behind.” Sounds pretty human to me. :-)

Chart looks like a plateau to me.
