Show HN: I tried reading an English essay vertically like traditional Japanese [pdf] (jorisfalter.com)

Hello HN,

I wanted to read vertical like traditional Japanese but I can't read Japanese, so I wrote an App Script to convert Paul Graham's Maker's Schedule Manager's Schedule in a vertical format.

It's not very useful but I had some fun trying to read it. It starts topright.

I actually read the whole essay like this without a problem, and I have never tried to read like this before. It was interesting; thanks for sharing.

One interesting/funny thing that Japanese visitors to Europe/USA observe is that people in bookstores and libraries are turning their heads to the side in front of the bookshelves.
