This is neat. It worked really well for my image. I assume it is just generating an image in the style of a mini figure?
It would be really incredible if it could generate a lego mini figure using real components (ie. this combination of hair, hear, torso, etc). I can see how this would be much more difficult. But it would also make it a really interesting product imo. People already pay a lot for mini figures - would probably pay a LOT for one that looks like them, or for a set that looks like their friends/family.
That's correct - it creates an image based on the style of a minifigure using DALLE-3. The challenge with real components is that the APIs / prompts don't allow for facial recognition prompts that can reveal the identify of the person. So the final minifigures won't be accurate especially the smaller parts.

Build123d, bd-warehouse
Are any of the major LLMs sufficiently trained on ldraw - or e.g. build123 a parametric CAD library - for this task?
TinkerCAD can save a model as a composition of known bricks.

ai-game-development tools lists a few CAD LLM apps like blenderGPT and blender-GPT: https://github.com/Yuan-ManX/ai-game-development-tools#3d-mo...
I am not so familiar with these tools but I will look into these and learn more.
Laser engraving for wood on 3d printed wood is a thing too
