I think Dropbox is worth less today than when they IPOed. Maybe that original comment was right when they suggested that network-attached storage is not a moat; big tech ate Dropbox's lunch.
If people agree they use the upvote button, because there isn’t much to talk about. It’s when people have differing opinions that they can use the comments to express them and talk it out. Discourse like that is good, as long as both sides approach it in good faith.

If everyone had the same opinions and thoughts there would be little value to the comments.

Do you have an actual question? Or any evidence that "most people" disagree, or "most people" don't welcome new ideas? Posts about Dropbox from 2007?

Telling readers to shut up and "make something" begs the question, why do so many "makers" post here to get comments and opinions on their handiwork?
