Making hardware in the US as bootstrapped startup (anomie.tech)

This is a story, more than a How-To, but hopefully it'll help other software people get into hardware products.

This is interesting. I've recently started fiddling with a startup idea and I need some custom hardware but it's so hard to find these products.
