I liked that. At the very least, I like to imagine that it helped women realize that making the first move is hard.
Not that hard, but I've heard a lot of women get frustrated that men are bad at it. Lots of women aren't so great, either. I got lots of "hi" opening messages, which is just lazy.
If you're interested, give some hint about why. Ask them something about their profile, or share something about yourself that matches something they talked about. Or if they didn't say anything (which is obnoxious), scrutinize the pictures for clues about them. If you're just matching with them because they have a pretty face, this isn't going to go well.
(And the same advice goes for men: if you don't say anything about yourself, they won't know how to make the first move. Though apparently that matters less now.)
