Never, the ruling class loves it, especially because they intend it to replace workers.
Anyone who claims we need to use more inclusive language to protect the feelings of the machines should be mocked mercilessly until they go away and do something useful with their life.
I think the term is already politically incorrect. Not because it’s not inclusive of machines but that it takes away or cheapens human labor.

Never. You are conflating interpersonal discrimination (entirely arbitrary separation of equal people) with categorical discrimination. Nobody will be mad at this except for bots, and on sites like HN we've discriminated against bot accounts since the very start.

Think for your self, for just a moment - nobody actually gives a shit about this. This is not social justice, these are not civil rights, and moreover it's not even a living being. The people perpetuating the "AI is alive" shtick are chronically-lonely Twitter addicts that feel a subconscious obligation to support the delusion called "Dead internet theory" (which conveniently delegitimizes their critics).

So here's your chance to defend making such a boneheaded thread; how is this similar to the other political correctness movements?
