On the other hand, if you have Oxalate stones (Like I do) then your urologist may advise you to drink more lemon juice as a preventative. And indeed, citric acid is how I remove calcate deposits from my coffee maker, and sink. I am not entirely convinced a diet higher in citric acid expresses into the kidneys but I think within limits it does no harm, so why not? -Note, not to dissolve, or pass stones: to prevent their tendency to form.
