I suspect they intended to pull all job openings a few weeks ago, and there were a few stragglers left.

I feel like every company I've worked at sometime has gone through a hiring freeze for any number of reasons.

Tesla is doing the right thing. Lots of companies still post even when they are not hiring or have freezes, wasting peoples time.
