Ask HN: What do companies making frameworks get to decide about their icons?

I find that usually developer framworks ship with their icons, especially when you use their init command. This doesn't really matter to me as a personal rather than professional user, but what rights would a company have if they put their icon into the framework, and it shows up in a site?

as an example, I see vercel logos everywhere where sites forget to set a favicon (often business, for-profit ones too!)
