Twitter/X is now broken in FF when anti-browser fingerprinting settings are used (old.reddit.com) 17 points by JeanMarcS 2y ago ↗ HN
[–] JeanMarcS 2y ago ↗ Sorry for reddit link, only place I found confrimation of the information by now.Got the surprise of twitter/X not allowing access on Firefox with message :Firefox’s Enhanced Tracking Protection (Strict Mode) is known to cause issues on x.com
[–] spurgu 2y ago ↗ The solution there (adding an exception for x.com) works. I already had Twitter containerized.https://www.reddit.com/r/privacy/comments/1ctxa3v/twitterxit... [–] JeanMarcS 2y ago ↗ Is it ? If you add an exception, won't you be tracked by all X icons on every other websites ? [–] spurgu 2y ago ↗ Good point. You're isolating your logged in session but not the fingerprinting. [–] greenyoda 2y ago ↗ Interesting... Twitter started working again for me as soon as I created a new container for it. I didn't have to add an exception.I have Firefox's "Enhanced Tracking Protection" set to "Custom", with all boxes checked. And I'm running uBlock Origin.
